参議院選挙の公示後、初の週末、イギリスのEU(ヨーロッパ連合)離脱を受けて、安倍政権を批判した。生活・小沢代表は「大変なときなんだから、挙国一致だ、おれの言う通りにしろ。こういう考え方を、安倍首相がややもすれば、持っているから。これでは、国の命と暮らしを守ることはできない」と述べた。「生活の党と山本太郎となかまたち」の小沢代表は25日、神奈川・横浜市で街頭演説を行い、イギリスのEU離脱で、「経済的混乱が政治的な変動を引き起こす可能性がある」と指摘した。そのうえで、小沢氏は、「歴史の過ちを繰り返してはならない」として、「民主主義が、きちんと作用する社会に、日本を1日も早くしなければならない」と、野党の重要性を訴えた。

"Red Flying Dragon" was the nickname for the Japanese Naval Flying Academy. It is also the name of the airplanes used in training.




Seven buttons and an anchor was the insignia. My third brother Mitsuo was 16 years old when he signed up for the Japanese Navy flight preparatory course "Trainee." He survived the war and passed away at 88 years old - January of 2016.. I am proud of him for his courage and love of his country, he was willing to die for her.




Ten years ago he came to see me at Tsukiji Hotel in Tokyo. The man on the left is my brother. We had an Italian dinner with two bottles of red wine. Four people at the next table were astonished when they heard that my brother was a Kamikaze candidate. He had a quiet and gentle nature. He loved flying even at age of 78. He was also passionate about playing the organ. I miss him so much. In tribute and in memory of Mitsuo I will express our view of the Pacific War. Iseheijiro

August 15th is coming. I wonder Shinzo Abe pays respect for the 2.5 million Japanese soldiers who died for their country. MacArthur said Truman that Tokyo Trial was mistake. MacArthur said that Japan fought for her defense at US Congressional testimony. Japan didn't start war against China nor against Russia nor against America. FDR was not as Teddy Roosevelt who mediated Russo/Japanese War. FDR was a crook who started WWII.

This is the time of indecisive leaders. Obama, Abe, Xi..Shinzo Abe made a series of speech for Masuzoe to be the governor of Tokyo three years ago. Now Abe's LDP wants Masuzoe to resign for his misappropriation of tax payer's money. Yet, Abe hasn't expressed a word. Abe praised Inose the former governor of Tokyo when he succeeded Ishihara. Inose also took bribe from right winger Yakuza and resigned.While we can say that politics are dirty business I like to point out our leader has no moral. Oil price declines have resulted in fatal blows as industry bankruptcies now rival those from the Tech bubble burst at the latest turn of the century. Approximately 60 U.S. oil companies have filed for bankruptcy—just a few less, at this point, than the 68 filings made during the tech crash. Fifteen bankruptcy filings occurred in the first quarter of 2016 alone including Houston’s Ultra Petroleum Corp. and Oklahoma-based Midstates Petroleum Co. Despite rising oil prices, more producers are expected go broke this year as well.

Recent Oil Bust Similar to Tech in 2001?

Innovative technology played a key role in the boom and the bust (ironically) of both oil the dot coms/tech. While the U.S. oil industry prospered on the back of the shale revolution, the tech boom was aided by pioneering communication technology, such as high-end optical fiber (coupled with industry deregulation in 1996).

For both sectors, the rapid onset of innovative technology created strong prospects for future growth and encouraged a rush of new entrants into the space (along with plenty of investors who largely overvalued the growth potential). The end result was the same:

Overvalued companies
Too much debt
Capacity glut
Successive price declines for each of the two sectors

The valuation plunge in the oil sector closely resembles that of the 2000 tech bubble. According to Dow Jones Oil and Gas Index, valuation losses amounted to $1.02 trillion against a 60% drop in crude prices since mid-2014, widely exceeding the $882.5 billion of valuation erosion from the Dow Jones U.S. Telecommunications Sector Index in the aftermath of the telecom bust.

Energy Impact Similar to That of Technology Bust?

Although certain aspects of the oil rout might evoke déjà-vu of the 2000s tech bust, it would be overstating the case to equate their impact. The effects of innovation in the tech space were not limited to that industry alone as the revolution in communications via the internet and wireless phone services emerged as the lifeblood of the 21st century global economy. So, bankruptcies in that space were bound to create acute issues across the economy.

On the crude oil side, the effects of price declines are more diverse across a variety of sectors. Bankruptcies from crude price declines are more likely for companies that exclusively deal in exploration/production. Bigger, integrated players have offset negative earnings from upstream operations with tailwinds provided by lower crude cost for downstream activities. Additionally, the energy sector’s overall market presence is not necessarily threatening for the economy as a whole. While oil and gas extraction’s labor force comprises just about 0.1% of total nonfarm employment and its value added accounting 1.7% of 2014 GDP, most big American banks’ exposure to the sector do not exceed much over 3% of their loan portfolios.

Furthermore, the price declines have already stimulated larger slices of the economy through fuel cost savings for consumers and resource-intensive industries (a positive sign for the overall economy over the longer term). Also, a substantial part of U.S. oil consumption comes from foreign countries, so U.S. oil bankruptcies by themselves are not sufficient enough to deprive the nation of fuel and cause an energy crisis.

Lastly, most oil corporations, under Chapter 11, would continue operations—something that should assuage fears of future production shortages.

Bottom Line for Investors

Although cratering crude prices have dealt a massive blow to the energy sector, it is not likely to create catastrophic impact across the economy, as a telecom/technology bust could and did. The well managed players in energy have already largely restructured their businesses for lower crude prices, and the smaller players that have gone by the wayside probably won’t create any kind of ripple into the broader stock market.

(CNN)Tokyo has protested to Beijing after a Chinese frigate entered waters near a disputed island chain in the East China Sea, according to a Japanese Defense Ministry spokesman.

A Japanese Navy destroyer detected the Chinese ship as it entered the contiguous zone -- an area stretching 24 nautical miles out from the edge of territorial waters -- around the Senkaku, also known as Diaoyu, islands, at 12.50 a.m. local time Thursday (12.50 p.m. ET Wednesday), Yoshitomo Morii told CNN. This was the first time a Chinese frigate has entered the contiguous zone, he added.

"We're deeply concerned that Chinese naval ships entered the waters contiguous to our Senkaku islands for the first time," Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga told reporters Thursday.

"We, in coordination with the United States and the international community, strongly demand China not repeat such behaviors that unilaterally heighten tensions."

According to Japanese officials, Foreign Minister Vice Minister Akitaka Saeki summoned China's ambassador, Chen Yonghua, to lodge a protest "with serious concern," and demand that the Chinese military ship leave the area immediately.

Morii said the Chinese ship left the area at 3:05 a.m., after repeated calls for it to do so by the Japanese vessel.

Russian military ships were also detected in the contiguous zone between 9:50 p.m. Wednesday and 3:05 a.m. Thursday local time, but further details were not immediately available, Morii said.

According to Japanese state broadcaster NHK, citing senior Japanese officials, the Chinese ship may have been reacting to the Russian vessel's movement.

Long-running tensions

Both China and Japan claim ownership of the Senkaku chain, and tensions have flared numerous times in recent years.
In late 2013, China declared an air defense identification zone (ADIZ) over much of the East China Sea, including the Senkakus, despite objections from Tokyo and Washington.

Japan also has an ADIZ over the islands, which it administers. While the Senkakus are uninhabited, their ownership would allow for exclusive oil, mineral and fishing rights in the surrounding waters.

I don't think they really want a war with Japanese/US joint forces. I think this blatant actions are testing Japan/US allied forces. Putin and Xi are heading for isolation. Both countries are under pressure from the west on their economy too. They are seeking an exit and cannot find it. U.S. Hiring Slowed Dramatically in May; Jobless Rate Falls to 4.7%

U.S. companies slowed their hiring drastically in May and unemployment fell as people dropped out of the labor force, a bleak picture for Federal Reserve officials as they prepare to debate increasing short-term interest rates at a policy meeting this month.

Nonfarm payrolls rose by a seasonally adjusted 38,000 in May, the weakest performance since September 2010, the Labor Department said Friday. Revisions showed employers added a combined 59,000 fewer jobs in April and March than previously estimated.

(Bloomberg) Abe needs to regain the narrative. If his Liberal Democratic Party does well as expected in July’s upper-house elections, he should revive serious efforts at privatization and deregulating labor and product markets. He should look again at ways to increase desperately needed immigration and to put more pressure on companies to raise wages.This is a familiar refrain. Unlike with the sales tax, though, further delay is unwise.
